Dermatherapy School of Beauty was established in 2017 as a specialist private training school in Horwich, Bolton. Our expertise spans beauty therapy, aesthetic treatments and professional education, helping learners progress from introductory knowledge to advanced practice.
Our owner and lead instructor, Ruth, has worked in beauty since 1996 and in teaching since 2002. The online courses build on that same commitment to structured, supportive learning.

How do I receive my Moodle login?
After your enrolment has been processed, we provide instructions for accessing your online learning. Your lessons and activities will be available through Moodle.
Can I work at my own pace?
Selected courses offer flexible, self-paced learning. Any course access periods, deadlines and assessment arrangements are explained in the relevant course information.
Is the examination online?
It depends on the qualification. For VTCT Level 3 Anatomy & Physiology, we arrange your examination when your online learning is complete. We will confirm where and how you sit it. Other programmes may require supervision, workplace evidence or practical attendance.
Are VTCT and Focus Awards qualifications different from CPD?
Yes. Regulated qualifications have specified learning outcomes and formal assessment requirements. CPD courses support continuing professional development and are not automatically regulated qualifications.
Can practical beauty courses be studied completely online?
Some courses include online theory, but practical skills may need observation, assessment or face-to-face training. Please confirm course and insurance requirements before enrolling.
